Recycled Wool Blanket - Rust Herringbone
This soft and gloriously cosy Herringbone throw by has been designed by Edinburgh based designer The Tartan Blanket Company and is handwoven in India using recycled wool and is absolutely gorgeous. This warm and toasty throw will look fabulous draped across the arm of a chair or across chilly knees!
The mill is run by a family team, who use 100% recycled materials and supports a community of women who hand finish all of our recycled wool blankets, creating much-needed jobs and giving each blanket a personal, unique finish.
Recycling wool can be a challenge as the fibres can be too short to respin. Our solution is to blend recycled wool with longer mixed fibres saved from landfill to create a soft and durable yarn, which is woven in a dense twill weave and brushed for texture. All the benefits of wool, in a sustainable blanket! What’s more, they’re even machine washable.
